WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibres applied to enhance the length, thickness, and curl of your own natural eyelashes. Extensions are dipped in a fast-drying glue and then attached to one of your lashes, and result in a more dramatic, natural look!
HOW LONG WILL MY EXTENSIONS LAST?
Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, extensions can last anywhere from 2-6 weeks. The length of time they last can be different for each person. Our eyelashes go through a natural growth cycle, in which we grow new lashes and lose old ones. Therefore, if an extension is attached to an eyelash that naturally falls out, so will the extension.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENt?
If possible, come to your appointment without any makeup on in order to save the technician time from cleaning your eyes and eyelashes in your allotted appointment time. Since you should avoid getting your new extensions wet for at least 24 hours after application, many clients choose to shower before their appointment. If you wear contacts, please remove them prior to your appointment.
HOW DO I take care of my eyelash extensions?
There are important aftercare instructions to follow in order to keep your lashes looking beautiful!

In the first 24 hours after your extension application, do not expose your eyelashes to water or steam (this allows the adhesive glue to completely set)

Avoid the use of mechanical eyelash curlers

Use oil-free makeup products, makeup remover, and face products around the eyes

Brush out your lashes every day

Avoid excessive touching, pulling, and picking

When washing your eyes or face, avoid powerful streams of water directly on the lashes. Be careful!
WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS RUIN MY NATURAL LASHES?
This is a common myth surrounding eyelash extensions, and the answer is no! When applied properly with appropriate thickness and length, there should be no damage to your natural eyelashes. As mentioned previously, our eyelashes go through their own life cycle of growing and falling out, but this can be much more noticeable when they are attached to a thicker, longer lash! If you ever decide to have your extensions removed, your own eyes may appear smaller, your natural lashes, shorter and sparser because you've been accustomed to a full set of longer, thicker lashes.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP WITH MY EXTENSIONS?
Yes! As long as your makeup options are not water-proof or oil-containing products, you can. It is also important that you remove makeup carefully, with oil-free remover. Although you are able to use makeup, a lot of clients do not feel the need when they have the dramatic look of the extensions!
will it hurt to get extensions?
It should not be painful or uncomfortable to receive eyelash extensions, in fact - many people find it very relaxing! Clients lay down on a comfortable spa bed with their eyes closed for the entire process. Your bottom lashes are taped out of the way, and then extensions are glued to your natural lashes. If you feel pain or discomfort at any point through the process, please let your technician know.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF LIFT AND TINTS?
Think of an eyelash lift like a perm for your lashes! Your lashes are held up against a gel pad and three solutions are placed (one at a time) on top of your eyelashes to work their magic - including a perming, setting, and tinting solution. Each solution stays on your eyelashes for 10-15 minutes and carefully removed. This process should take 45 minutes to 1 hour.
